My Methods and Approach
My approach is holistic (here’s a great article on holistic therapy ), and integrative because I believe a synergistic blend of psychotherapy (talk therapy) and body-heart-mind methods can increase the efficacy and efficiency of therapeutic work.
I approach psychotherapy as a way to provide a safe, validating space for you to explore old and new wounds, feel seen and heard, identify unhelpful (and more helpful!) patterns, and clarify your mental and emotional wellness goals.
I utilize mindfulness-based interventions to help you increase self-awareness, self-compassion, and self-regulation, and I will likely include some somatic techniques (such as meditation and breath-work).
I am always growing my knowledge in the psychology and body-heart-mind fields, in an effort to better myself, and help my clients.
My therapeutic style is interactive, supportive, educational, direct, authentic, warm, often humorous, gently challenging, fiercely compassionate, and validating.
